Do you cover York, Hanover and Red Lion?

Yes. York County, Pennsylvania is the longest regular run we make from our Ephrata base in Lancaster County, and we make it — York, Red Lion, Dallastown, Dover, Hanover and Shrewsbury, plus the townships in between. Because it is a drive, we plan York County work as full days and bring everything for the job with us.

What kind of property do we see in York County?

Spread out, and bigger on the concrete side. A lot of the county is rural or semi-rural acreage, and the buildings reflect that: detached three-car and four-car garages, pole buildings, standalone workshops, equipment sheds with a poured floor, and long driveway aprons where the concrete meets the asphalt. The square footage per property is often larger than in a borough, and the slabs are more varied — some poured properly with a vapor barrier and a broom finish, some poured on a Saturday by whoever was available.

What does that mean for the work?

Three things. First, measuring matters more; a detached shop floor is easy to underestimate by a third, and we would rather grind and quote the real number than find it out on the day. Second, detached buildings are usually unheated, which rules out epoxy for most of the year and is a large part of why we use polyaspartic. Third, the apron — the strip where the garage door meets the driveway. It takes freeze-thaw, road salt off the tires and the edge of the plow, so it is often the most spalled concrete on the property. It can be ground, rebuilt and coated, but that edge needs detailing properly or it will chip again.

What about workshop floors?

A workshop is a harder service than a garage. Dropped tools, welding spatter, solvent, hydraulic fluid, a jack stand under load. We build those up the same way we build a garage — diamond grind, repair, base coat, flake broadcast by hand to rejection, scrape and vacuum, then two clear polyaspartic topcoats — and the flake layer is what does the work: it is thick, it is mechanically keyed into the base rather than sitting on it, and a high-contrast blend hides grinding dust and tire marks between cleans. Garage floor coating covers the build, and colors and finishes shows which blends hide the most.

How soon can you get out here?

We tend to batch York County estimates, so give us a few days rather than an afternoon and we will come out properly and measure rather than eyeballing it from the doorway. A typical two- or three-car garage is a one-day install. A large detached shop, or a shop plus an apron, can be two. Foot traffic in about four to six hours after the final clear, vehicles in about twenty-four.

Do you install in winter?

Yes, and in York County that is rather the point. Most of the buildings we coat here have no heat in them at all. Polyaspartic cures in temperatures that stop epoxy, so a detached garage in January is a normal working day for us instead of a job you wait until May for.

Does the drive change anything else?

Only the planning. The build is the same, the warranty is the same — lifetime — and the process is the one shown step by step on how it works. If you have a basement as well as a garage, say so when you call; doing both on one trip is better for everyone. See basement floor coating, or get in touch and we will come and look.

Which York County towns have a page?

These two, and the rest of the county is still a short drive.
